Marketing is an important process that every organization, no matter their industry, should take into account and apply it. This process guarantees the satisfaction con the customer´s needs depending on the product or service. It includes the description and research of the customer to target, the product or service the company will offer, how this product will satisfy customer´s needs, the strategies of the price of the service, the place where the service will be functioning, and the promotion which includes how the product or service will be promoted: advertising, social media, webpage, etc.  

 

CUSTOMER ANALYSIS:

 

We made a survey of 11 questions, answered by 100 people. With the answers of this survey, we could analyze all costumers who had a dog.

 

Our costumers would be women or men in the range of age 18-25 mostly students, some are employees. Located in a range of high stratum, between stratum 5 and 6. Most of the surveyed people leave their dog alone between 4 to 8 hours, meaning that most part of the day they are studying or working in their respective activities or jobs, and their dogs are alone in the house, without anywhere to go and walk.

 

For our walk service people are willing to pay maximum per hour the range of 6.800$-10.000$. The price of our service per hour is 10.000$, so costumers will pay for our service.

 

At the moment of the walk, the clients want their dogs to have a GPS, this way we can monitor our walkers and guarantee a better service to our costumers.

 

96% of the surveyed people considered that our walker have to had experience to do their job. We as a company, and the person in charge of hiring the dog walker, the human resource manager, will hire the best walker, with good experience.

 

The costumers want their dog’s to walk a range 2-3 km, in that way the dog will be satisfied with their walk.

 

More than a half of the people will like to use our service. In the scale from 1-5, the 35% choose 3, the 30% 4 and the 18% 5. People are willing to use our service, but must of them not all the time.

 

In the survey we ask the following question: If a walker lose your dog, how would you like our company to respond, must of the people answer, reward of money and with the search of the dog.

 

Warranties:

 

As a company we will offer some warranties. In the case of the walker losing the dog during the hours of the walk service. We will look for your dog, with all our commitment, and the use of technologies to guarantee, to find the dog. After doing all we can to find the dog, if we don’t find it we will reward with an amount of money.

 

In the case of the dog’s barber service, we will offer a warranty related to the dogs shower. If the dog didn’t have a good shower or a good haircut, you will have immediately another bath, or cut for free.

Doggy Buddy, offers a service that guarantees the improvement in the dog´s quality of life of our customers by providing them secure walks and additional pet services such as baths for them. The customers will use and in fact NEED the service of Doggy Buddy when they have tied and long work schedules and they don’t want to leave their dog alone all day. Doggy Buddy services are distinguish among their competitors as they are few or just one company in Bogotá that is a formal organized company, because the majority of people that offers this kind of walks are informal people with no experiences, tools, and technologies that our company will use.

 

Doggy Buddy will be the most recognizable company in the north of Bogotá for dog walks and the customer´s first choice positioning the brand in the area. As Doggy Buddy´s customers have no time for their dogs, they need some company that provide them trust and quality in the service as they treat their dog as their child. This company provide the warranties of taking care of our customer´s dog as if they were our own.

 

As Doggy Buddy worries for all their stakeholders, the service will have some packages for customers to choose and save some money but still making profits for the organization. Our service will have discounts for loyal customers that use frequently the service, the more walks for their dogs they need, the less the walk per hour will be. Also, as an additional service for the dogs the company will have as “loyal”, they will receive on their birthday a gift: a special muffin for dogs and a nice bath for free.

 

One of the most important things for Doggy Buddy is the relations not only with the dogs but also with their owners, our customers. The company pretends to have the best relationship possible to acquire more customers every time through the “mouth to mouth” promotion and making them wanting to come and use our services again and again.

Doggy Buddy will have a web page which will be our principal way to connect to our customers because there will be the address of the company, telephones and email. The main establishment of the company will be located in the north of Bogotá. In this establishment customers could take their dogs to have them bath and the management situations will also take place in this place.

 

Doggy Buddy will attend their customers within an area: from 127 street to 140 street and from the 9th career to the highway. This coverage area was stablish thinking the location were our establishment will be and how the walkers can pick up the dogs and walk them around.

Promotion:

 

As Doggy Buddy is new in the industry, the promotion is a very important factor in the beginning. Besides on having their own website, Doggy Buddy will have a Facebook page were promotions, discounts, and other information will be posted for customers to feel attracted to use the service. Also, monthly the company will have advertisement campaigns such as fliers around the area where the service will work, demonstrating the different services the company offers in the most appealing way possible. Also, some of these fliers will be distributed in veterinaries around the area so get the target´s attention.

 

Another way of promotion will be putting announcements in some newspapers and magazines so people get to know us. Also, there will be big posters in the traffic lights around the area where Doggy Buddy will offer their services.
